Overview

Our Regina location is currently seeking a self-driven, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Manager. We are a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and highly successful organization committed to operational excellence and delivering exceptional service across our network. In this role, you will take full ownership of warehouse operations, including the efficient execution of inbound and outbound freight, while ensuring strict adherence to all legislative requirements and company safety policies and procedures. The Warehouse Manager will drive operational efficiency through strong leadership and sound decision-making, overseeing logistics processes, leading a high-performing team, and fostering a safe, compliant, and results-driven work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the handling, distribution, and storage of all inbound and outbound freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the distribution facility. 
  • Ensure all sales orders are accurately entered, packaged, and shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules. 
  • Document and communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties. 
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels as per compliance requirements to meet reporting, internal and external audit accountabilities. 
  • Planning the warehouse organization and space requirements to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization in collaboration with Chief Operating Officer. 
  • Accountability of full implications of material flow, inventory turnover rates, and other factors when allocating warehouse space. 
  • Developing and/or enforcing corporate policies regarding security and safety to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. 
  • Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials. 
  • Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment. 
  • Assessing the needs of the facility and present for approval with ROI justification as required. 
  • Monitor and report all inventory discrepancies and identify the cause, resolution, and prevention. Ensure records are stringent to eliminate all variances. 
  • Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; adjust where necessary. 
  • Lead facility improvements, and services to manage the facility and costs. 
  • Work as a great team collaborator with the warehouse team and other departments. 
  • Responsible for timely shipping, receiving and organization of product in the warehouse 
  • Other duties may assign as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position, warehousing, inventory control, or materials management.
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
  • Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
  • Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage X3, SCM systems, or any other ERP system as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
  • Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
  • Solid project and facility management skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good financial and business awareness.
  • A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills.
  • Team leadership and teambuilding abilities.
